Newchurch Primary School success with System Endura

Background

The roof on the school building had come to the end of its life and needed stripping back to the timber deck and reinstating with a fully insulated system to meet regulations and help conserve energy. Conditions were placed by Warrington Borough Council on the quality of the material, roof inspections and the guarantee.

Operated by Warrington Borough Council

When the roof at Newbury Primary School had come to the end of its life, Complete Roofing Systems were contracted by Warrington Borough Council to strip the roof back to the timber deck and install a new felt roof that was fully insulated to help conserve energy and meet Part L of the Building Regulations.

Complete Roofing Systems approached us for the best solution for a more robust covering which would meet the Council’s conditions re the quality of materials, roof inspections and the provision of a guarantee.

Solution

To meet the challenges presented by the Newchurch Primary School flat roof, we specified a warm roof system using our BBA Certified System Endura which, when used with the Endura FR mineral cap sheet, also met the Brooft4 regulations for fire resistence required for the building. Both System Endura membranes are made from high quality distilled bitumen, modified with elastomeric polymers, providing excellent elasticity and a high adhesion.

To keep in line with the current Safe 2 Torch Guidelines we also supplied our System 20 Self Adhesive flame free application membrane as the Vapour Check layer and for the underlay on details.

Delivering a sucessful outcome

Following the successful completion of the project by Complete Roofing Systems to the required standard of work,  we were happy to supply our 20 year Single Point Guarantee, exceeding the expectations of the end customer. Warrington Borough Council.
